In Peace, I Will Lie Down is a simple but poignant piece for soprano and piano, dedicated to the Lord’s servant Judy Clark, a recently retired missionary to Kazakhstan. Judy recounts stories of how she would lie down by herself, fearful and unable to sleep in her small cabin in the cold. The words from Psalm 4:6-8 comforted her as she drifted off to sleep.
This piece points to the peaceful rest we have in God our Father. We need not worry but trust that He holds us and deeply cares for us.
